The Fontanka Hotel, built in 1990, is a part of the hotel complex Sovetskaya. It is located just outside the historic center of St. Petersburg, only few blocks from the world-famous Mariinsky Opera and Ballet Theater. If you are lucky enough to live on a high floor you will enjoy a fascinating view of Fontanka river, the city center with the domes of St. Isaac's Cathedral, Trinity Cathedral and St. Nicholas' Cathedral dominating the skyline. The rooms are pleasant and clean. This hotel is a reasonably good choice.
