
The Hotel Metropol was opened in 1905 as a part of grandiose project by Savva Morozov, patron of art, and was to unite hotel, exhibition halls, restaurants and a theatre. It is Moscow's most exclusive hotel. The Metropol Hotel is art nouveau-designed and one of the oldest in the city. Its atmosphere inherited fine bourgeois traditions with refined architecture and original style interior design. The Hotel is located in the city center just opposite the Bolshoi Theatre and within a 5 minutes walk from the Red Square, Kremlin, and Gum Shopping arcade.
The hotel is favored by many celebrities. Michael Jackson, Van Klibern and Pier Cardin have been among the guests of the hotel in the past. The hotel is a part of the Inter-Continental International Hotels Group.
