
The Moskva Hotel is ideally located in the very heart of the city next to the Red Square, the Kremlin, the Bolshoy Theater and the main shopping areas. The central building of the hotel was built in 1935. Additions were made in 1978. The hotel is a monument to its epoch and the city's landmark. Many famous names are associated with its history such as prominent Russian Army commanders, writers and performers. The first Russian President, Boris Eltsin used to occupy one of the hotels suites.
