Bolshoy Theatre - the most famous theatre in Moscow. It is considered to be the second largest of Europe after the famous "La Scala" Theatre of Milan. Bolshoy Theatre is well-known for its excellent acoustics and rich interior decorations. The best masterpieces of world and Russian classic opera and ballet have been performed on its stage.

Murom -

Nizhny Novgorod - is the third largest city in Russia with a million and a half people live in. Nizhny Novgorod was found at the beginning of the 13th century at the confluence of two rivers - the Volga and the Oka. A sign of an ancient city of Russia is the Kremlin on the high Volga bank where the eternal fire is burning in memory of the fallen soldiers of the Second World War. The city of Nizhny Novgorod preserved many unique historical, architectural and cultural monuments.

Pavlovo - city and administrative centre of Nizhegorod region on the Oka River. Its metalworking industries are continuations of what was a long handicraft tradition in metal goods, though now the industry produces buses and tractor and automobile parts as well. The city has a technical college devoted to the metalworking.

Konstantinovo - is a village where one of the most talented poets of Russia - Sergei Esenin- was born and lived for the most of his life. After 1917 his house was confiscated by Bolsheviks. Nowadays, it is the Sergei Esenin's museum. Konstantinovo is surrounded by very beautiful landscapes.

Ryazan - one of Russia's oldest cities, Ryazan was originally founded in 1095, downstream from its present site. It was completely destroyed by the Tatars in 1237, and was then moved to the city Pereslavl-Ryazansky which became the capital of the Ryazan principality. Now it is an industrial and transportation center of European Russia. The city retained many picturesque churches with colored domes and gilded ornaments.

Myshkin - a small provincial town with unusual name Myshkin (in Russian a Mouse's town) is situated on the Volga river 100 km from Yaroslavl. It is surrounded by pine forest and is very quiet, there are no factories or plants here. The town is known for the only Mouse Museum in the world, the Museum of Russian Vodka and the only museum of Wooden Architecture in Yaroslavl region.

Yaroslavl - though the city is the biggest and most active one of the route, it has conserved a nice style of province life. Yaroslavl has a reach collection of historical and art monuments, it is also known for its wall-paintings in cathedrals and churches. Visit to the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery and Ilya-Prophet Church.

Vladimir - the history of the town goes back over one thousand years. It was founded in 990s by Prince Vladimir on the bank of the river Klyazma. The rise of Vladimir began under Andrei Bogolubsky, the son of Yuri Dolgoruki who founded Moscow. During the city tour you will visit the famous XII century cathedrals and view the Golden Gates.

Suzdal - the most fabulous place of the Golden Ring. More than 100 architecture monuments dating from different periods of the past millenium are concentrated here: the Kremlin, trading rows, several monasteries, lots of big and small churches, the unique museum-town of wooden architecture, Krestovaya Palata, etc.

Red Square - the chief architectural detail of the square is the Cathedral of the Intercession on the Moat, which the people renamed the Cathedral of St.Basil the Blessed. In front of the cathedral was a marketplace, also the scene of religious ceremonies, appearances by the tsar and the announcement of court verdicts from the Lobnoye Myesto. This square is the real witness of a dramatic Russian history. The Victory Parade to celebrate the defeat of Hitler Germany was held on here on June 24,1945.

Novodevichy Convent - one of the most beautiful Moscow convents, founded at the beginning of 16th century, for 400 years the Novodevichy Convent was the witness and the participant of important historical events, connected with the names of Ivan the Terrible, Boris Godunov, Sofia and Peter I.

Moscow Kremlin and Kremlin Cathedrals - the Kremlin has always been perceived as a symbol of power and might of the Russian land. Each era of Russian history lefts it’s architectural mark on the Kremlin; within the Kremlin walls there are many architectural monuments, churches, cathedrals, museums, etc.

Moscow City Tour - main streets, squares and places of interest: the Tverskaya street the most animated and saucy, the former headquarters of the KGB, Russian White House, the Red Square, the Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed, the Cathderal of Christ the Saviour, the Bolshoy Theatre, etc.

Kostroma - the town was firstly mentioned in the Chronicles in 1237. The contemporary Kostroma is a picturesque city with a strong historical atmosphere. The town is famous for its Trade Galleries, fire-watch tower, Romanov's Palace and Ipatiev Monastery - a real miracle of Russia architecture.
