Kolomenskoye - a Great Princes mansion in the XIV-XVII centures. It is the unique art, historical, architectural and nature-landscape museum-reserve, situated in the South region of Moscow. Nowadays it is a remarkable place to enjoy Russian folklore performance such as wedding-game, skomorokhs-buffoons and songs.

Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk) - the town was named after Saint Sergey Radonezhsky. In the XIV century he founded a monastery there that became one of the greatest in Russia. Nowadays the monastery carries the name of Trinity Lavra of St. Sergey and is considered to be "Russian Vatican". Its a temporary residence of Russian patriarch.

The Lavish Gluttonous Day - Thursday used to be the day when the Great Lavish began. This included troika rides, fist fighting and other such entertainments. For example, a man joker rode around in sledges drawn by troika treating people to wine and various delicacies and the people followed this "train" singing merry songs.

The Daughter-in-Law Parties - on Saturday on the sister-in-law (a sister of the husband) evenings the young daughter-in-law used to invite her husbands' relatives for a party. If husbands' sisters were not married, she invited her unmarried friends. The newly-married daughter-in-law was to make presents to her husband's sisters.

The Forgiveness Sunday - On the last day of Maslenitsa everybody used to ask each other for forgiveness. The young married couples made visits to their relatives, presented gifts to their matchmakers, parents and friends, who made presents at the wedding. They made visits to their godparents to give presents to them, too. Maslenitsa is over and so is the winter giving way to the spring.
