Museum of Political History of Russia -

Museum of Zoology - the Museum was created in 1832 on the basis of the collection of Kuntskamera. It holds the exhibits of over 15 million animal types, including unique objects such as skeletons of mammoth and extinct southern elephant. St. Petersburg Zoological Museum is considered to be one of the world's biggest museums of that kind.

Navy Museum - the fascinating story of the development, growth and achievements of the Russian navy. With a collection of over 800 thousand exhibits, the museum displays some fascinating naval memorabilia, armaments, authentic maritime equipment, quality models of historically significant vessels and numerous paintings by marine artists.

Paul Palace in Petropavlovsk -

Peter III Palace in Oranienbaum -

Peter&Paul Fortress - The Cathedral of SS Peter & Paul (1712-1733), with its landmark needle-thin spire, magnificent Baroque interior and burial site for most of the pre-Revolutionary Russian leaders, is the oldest church in St. Petersburg. It is also the tallest building in the Northern Capital (excluding the TV tower).

St. Isaacs Cathedral - the lavish interior of the grandiose and skyline-dominating cathedral completed in 1858 and designed by French architect Ricard de Montferrand. Be sure to check out the views from the colonnade surrounding the cathedral's beautiful landmark golden dome. Although the cathedral is considerably smaller than the newly rebuilt Church of Christ the Savior in Moscow, it boasts much more impressive fades and interiors.

St. Petersburg City Tour - located on numerous islands, the city is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. You will see all major city highlights in the course of 3-hour tour including visits to the Peter & Paul Fortress, the burial place of Russian Emperors, and St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the forth highest cathedral in the world with breathtaking design.

Museum of Ethnography - the Russian Empire of the 18th - early 20th century united the peoples who lived on the vast territory between the Baltic Sea in the West and the Pacific Ocean in the East. The lifestyles of all those peoples are reflected in the array of curious artifacts on display at the Ethnography Museum. The collection provides some marvelous insights into the history and culture of Russians, Ukrainians and Belorussians, as well as the peoples and tribes of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Siberia

Museum of Artillery -

Canal Boat Trip - a wonderful tour along rivers and canals to enjoy the riversides of St. Petersburg. You will be impressed by the picturesque banks of Neva river and numerous canals, beautiful embankments, and elegant bridges which are considered to be the real works of art.

Catherine Palace and Park in Pushkin - designed by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the creator of the Winter Palace and Smolny Cathedral. Most of the restored interiors date back to the time of Empress Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great, though there are some early 19th century interiors too. Catherine the Great chose to live in a separate wing of the palace, and even at the age of 60 she quite happily walked the length of the palace to reach the building’s private church every day.

Chinese Palace in Oranienbaum -

Gatchina Palace - Gatchina village was quite old already when Catherine II decided to have a palace built there for her lover, Count Grigori Orlov. The Gatchina palace and park ensemble is one of the finest specimens of early Russian Neoclassicism. The palace, faced with local limestone and resembling a medieval English castle, was erected between 1766 and 1781. The interior decor was created by Russian masters according to designs by Rinaldi and Vincenzo Brenna. At the same time, Russia's first landscaped park was laid out.

Grand Summer Palace and Park in Petrodvorets - an immensely luxurious royal estate, lying on the shore of the Gulf of Finland (Baltic Sea), a combination of several palaces and parks is also known as "The Russian Versailles" and the "Capital of the Russian fountains". The Upper Garden is a pretty baroque "formal garden" which separates the Grand Palace from the St Petersburg-bound highway.

Hermitage Museum - the Hermitage ranks among the world’s major museums. Its collection consists of nearly 3 million art objects (West European art, the Antique world, Primitive culture, Oriental culture and art, the history of Russian Culture and numismatics). Exhibits are displayed in the Winter Palace, as well as the Small, Old and New Hermitages.

Holy Saviour on the Spilt Blood - built as a memorial on the spot where Emperor Alexander II was assassinated on March 1, 1881 and designed by architect Alfred Parland in the style of 16th and 17th Russian churches, the cathedral offers an amazing contrast to the Baroque, Classical, and Modernist styles predominant in the Northern Capital. It's unique decorations include icons and panels made from majolica and mosaic, which were created from drawings by the leading Russian artists of last century. Restorers say the church contains more mosaics than any other church in the world.

Menshikov Palace - Alexander Menshikov (1673-1729) was a good friend and companion of Peter the Great. The palace was the most luxurious house to be built in the city thus far (far superior to the Summer Palace of Peter the Great) and was therefore chosen to host various official functions. In 1967 the palace was given to the Hermitage and now, with the early 18th century interiors restored, it houses a collection of Russian cultural artifacts from the early 18th century.

Yusupov Palace - one of the most interesting sights of St. Petersburg which represents a rare combination of an architectural monument and "a temple of art". Since 1830 unabashedly rich and powerful Yusupov family owned the palace, the apartments of the last owners are opened to the public. The palace is also known for Grigory Rasputin’s assassination.
